WHO WE ARE

South East Green Care is the trading name of Mowers Gardens Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 15473623), registered office 64 Finland Road, London SE4 2JH. We are the “controller” of the personal information described in this policy.

WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you ask for a quote or contact us (website form, phone, email or WhatsApp):

  • your name, email address, phone number and postcode or address

  • details of the job and anything else you tell us

  • photos you send of your garden or site

  • how you heard about us

When you become a customer: your address, job details, quotes, invoices and payment records.

If you join our mailing list (“Join Our Garden”): your email address and your consent to receive emails.

When you use our website: basic technical information such as your device, browser and pages visited. Our website platform (Wix) collects this using cookies and similar technologies. See “Cookies” below.


HOW AND WHY WE USE IT

  • Replying to your enquiry and preparing a quote: taking steps at your request before entering a contract

  • Carrying out the work, invoicing and keeping job records: performance of a contract

  • Keeping financial records for tax: legal obligation

  • Sending seasonal tips and occasional offers by email: your consent (you can unsubscribe at any time)

  • Running, securing and improving our website: our legitimate interests

We don’t sell your information, and we don’t use it for automated decision-making.


WHO WE SHARE IT WITH

We only share your information when we need to, with:

  • Wix.com, which hosts our website, contact forms and mailing list

  • Google, for our business email, Google Business Profile, reviews and maps

  • Meta, if you contact us through WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook

  • Our accountant and HMRC, for invoices and tax records

  • Our crew, who need your address and job details to do the work

Some of these providers store data outside the UK (for example in the US or EU). Where they do, they use legal safeguards approved under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or adequacy regulations.


HOW LONG WE KEEP IT

  • Enquiries that don’t go ahead: up to 2 years, then deleted

  • Customer and invoice records: 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as HMRC requires

  • Mailing list: until you unsubscribe

  • Photos you send: for as long as we need them to quote for and carry out the job, and up to 2 years after


PHOTOS OF OUR WORK

We sometimes take before-and-after photos of jobs for our website and social media. We won’t show your house number, your car registration or anything that identifies you without asking first.


YOUR RIGHTS

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the information we hold about you

  • correct anything that’s wrong

  • delete your information (unless we have to keep it, e.g. for tax)

  • restrict or object to how we use it

  • move it to another provider

  • stop sending you marketing emails (every email has an unsubscribe link)

To use any of these rights, email hello@segreencare.co.uk. We’ll reply within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113.
