Terms & Conditions - The basics 

Terms & Conditions
South East Green Care
These Terms & Conditions apply to all work carried out by South East Green Care (“we”, “our”, “the company”). By booking our services, the client (“you”) agrees to the following:
1. Quotations & Pricing
1.1 All quotes are based on the information provided at the time of enquiry.
1.2 Prices may change if the scope, size, access, or condition of the job differs from what was originally described.
1.3 Any changes to price will be discussed with you before work continues.
1.4 Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.
2. Access & Site Conditions
2.1 You must ensure safe and reasonable access to the work area.
2.2 If access is restricted (locked gates, blocked areas, hazards, etc.) and work cannot begin, a call-out fee may apply.
2.3 We reserve the right to refuse or stop work if the site is unsafe for our team.
3. Weather & Safety
3.1 Work may be postponed due to unsafe weather conditions (high winds, storms, heavy rain, ice, etc.), especially for tree work.
3.2 Safety assessments are carried out on arrival and throughout the job.
3.3 We are not liable for delays caused by weather or conditions outside our control.
4. Waste Removal
4.1 Green waste removal is included only if stated in the quote.
4.2 Additional waste — including soil, rubble, general rubbish or non-organic materials — may incur extra charges.
4.3 If waste is left on-site as per your request, responsibility for disposal is yours.
5. Garden & Grounds Maintenance
5.1 Regular maintenance visits are based on agreed time slots or schedules.
5.2 If a visit is cancelled on the day or if access is not possible, a cancellation fee may apply.
5.3 We cannot guarantee results where issues are caused by factors outside our control, such as pests, disease, poor soil, weather, or previous poor workmanship.
6. Tree Work
6.1 All tree work is carried out according to safety guidelines and may change based on assessment on the day.
6.2 We do not accept responsibility for damage caused by dead, unstable or hazardous trees prior to our arrival.
6.3 Where work requires permissions (e.g., Tree Preservation Orders, conservation areas), it is the client’s responsibility to ensure the necessary consents are in place unless agreed otherwise.
7. Planting & Plant Health
7.1 Plants are supplied in good condition at the time of installation.
7.2 Once planted, ongoing health depends on aftercare (watering, feeding, weather). We cannot guarantee plant survival unless a maintenance plan is agreed.
7.3 Any plant replacements are chargeable unless stated in writing.
8. Deposits & Payments
8.1 A deposit may be required for larger jobs or where materials need to be purchased.
8.2 Payment is due upon completion of the job unless an alternative agreement is made.
8.3 Overdue payments may incur late fees or withholding of further services.
9. Cancellations
9.1 Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled visit.
9.2 Same-day cancellations or missed appointments may be charged at the agreed call-out rate.
10. Liability
10.1 We take every care when working on your property.
10.2 We are not responsible for damage to hidden pipes, cables, irrigation lines, or structures not disclosed or visible.
10.3 We are not liable for damage caused by unstable structures, old fences, dead trees, weak branches, or anything already in a compromised condition before work begins.
10.4 You are responsible for removing or protecting personal belongings from the work area.
11. Photographs & Portfolio
11.1 We may take before/after photos of work for records and marketing.
11.2 No identifying information or addresses will be used.
11.3 If you prefer no photos, just let us know before work starts.
12. Complaints
12.1 If you are unhappy with any part of the work, you must notify us within 48 hours of completion so we can resolve it.
12.2 We will always aim to fix issues promptly and fairly.
